Great Pyramid is one of the seven wonders of the world
GREAT PYRAMID OF GIZA
also known as Pyramid of Khufu and Pyramid of Cheops is the oldest and largest pyramid in Giza Necropolis . my my my . you know what? i am so addicted about the 7 wonders of the world . never had a chance to visit em :( . how about you people? i'd like to read your entries if you share about your experiences to the globe . :) just give me the link of yours .
Egyptologist believe that this pyramid was build as a tomb for fourth dynasty egyptian Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops in Greek) and constructed about 14-20 million years period concluding 2560 BC. there are 3 chambers inside the pyramid ( i never thought there are chambers inside -.- ) the so-called Queen's Chamber and King's Chamber are higher up within the pyramid structure. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only pyramid in Egypt known to contain both ascending and descending passages. the building is mostly build by casing stone , that formed a smooth outer surface what is seen today is the underlying core structure . some of the casing stones that once covered the structure can be seen around the base . i wonder how could the people build this highly strong ever pyramid just with the stones (?) totally proud of it . As seen in the picture above , a massive pyramid is still sturdy on its own . now i'm shouting, i want to go there please ma ? -.-
